As a Digital Nomad, you need to be careful to consider the destination you want to live in.
For a Nomad, travelling is a must but there will be times when out of necessity or pleasure you will have to stop in one location for a longer period.
First of all, choose a side of the world. Asia, America, Africa, Europe, Australia.
Moving from one continent to another can be quite expensive, which is why I suggest starting your Digital Nomad adventure somewhere in the world and experience as many places there.
My story:
Having lived for 5 years during my university period travelling around Europe between Spain, Germany and the UK, I was determined to leave the continent. I have always had a deep interest in Latin American and Asian culture; Since I had already had an experience in Thailand, I decided to start my life as a Digital Nomad in Latin America.
Speaking a good level of Spanish, I immediately had a lot of ease in getting used to the country. Furthermore, the low cost of living and ease of travel make the Latin American continent a very popular destination for Digital Nomads.
Within a couple of years, after touring most of the countries from this part of the world, I intend to keep my desire to move to Asia; Probably the destination will be the mecca of remote workers, Bali.
Here a little list of our recommended countries for Digital Nomads, divided by continent:
Asia.
- Bali.
- Thailand.
- Vietnam.
Europe:
- Croatia.
- Portugal.
- Ukraine.
Latinamerica:
- Colombia.
- Mexico.
- Ecuador.
