There are plenty of fantastic places to see around Medellín. 🇨🇴

Many “Pueblos” deserve to be visited for their beauty.

On the podium I put these 3:

Guatapé: It’s a town in the Antioquia region, located 1 hour and a half from Medellín. Guatapé is famous for its houses decorated with “Zocalos” artistic works carved in the external facades of the houses. And also for the vast artificial basin that connects the latter to Peñol and its gigantic granite rock 200m height.

Jericó: A small-town located in Southwestern Antioquia, three hours from Medellin. Its nature and hilly landscape make the surrounding of the town ideal for outdoor trips and multiple activities. Here we have practised paragliding. What a great experience!

Santa Fe De Antioquia: A municipality in the Antioquia Department 2 hours from Medellin. It was the capital of Antioquia and one of the oldest municipalities in the region. Its colonial-style makes you go back over the years to a past Colombia.

All three destinations are highly recommended if you are in Medellin and want to enjoy a day trip outside the city.

Looking forward to your feedback!
